Likewise in these sweltering summer months, when you have someone over, place a small bottle of water coddled in an ice bucket ( or even a large tumbler with ice ) on his or her bedside table. place it just before they turn into bed and put a glass next to it.
Sure it's not a mini bar, but it's a small detail that they will remember when they visit you again next summer and they will praise you for your little care.... perhaps your cool care.....
